Jeffrey Katzenberg is the Chief Executive Officer of DreamWorks Animation SKG. DreamWorks Animation was a division of DreamWorks SKG until October 2004, when it became a separate publicly traded company. Katzenberg co-founded DreamWorks SKG with Steven Spielberg and David Geffen in October 1994. A producer of computer animated features -- including the box office hits Antz, Shrek, and the record-breaking Shrek 2 (the highest-grossing animated film ever) – DreamWorks Animation develops content that is distributed and marketed by Paramount Pictures. Prior to co-founding DreamWorks, Katzenberg served as Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios from '84 – '94. During his tenure, the studio produced such box office hits as "Good Morning, Vietnam," "Pretty Woman," "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," "Dead Poets Society" & "The Little Mermaid." "Beauty and the Beast," released in 1991, won the Golden Globe for Best Picture Musical or Comedy and became the first animated feature to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar®. Katzenberg began his career in entertainment as the assistant to David Picker, then president of United Artists.
