Episode 11 Recap

"winning that fight got me into final four which is great. i fough my hardest. at his stage i know i've earned smething in the contender. the cards have been in my favour so far, so hopefully it's a sign of things to come. my next fight i'm just going to dig deep cause i've got through into th semis, i've not gotten injured i'm all set to go. " sean

john wayne said he was expecting to see five rounds but didn;t. zidov commented that sen and yod would be a good fight. yod jokingly said that he should start warming up his legs and started to massage them, yod said, "in the final four, i have my eye on sean. he's shown his talent. and we've all seen now that he's got some good skills. and he;s scary. because of that i must train more and trian better." sean enterted the room whistling and carrying his flag. men congraulate him. wayne said in his interview, "sean's had two fights now, and they both ended pretty fast. first round then second round. so he's got a big advantage for him in the semi," jabbar asked sean, "hows it feeling to be i the semi final?" sean replied, " awesome!" john wayne said,"it's down from 16 to 6. it's exciting cause now we're getting one step closer. we're going to see the light at the end of the tunnel. but whoever makes it to the next round is in for a hard fight. yod is amazing and sean is the little work horse. it's a tough road to get into the final." zidov said that now there were onl 6 of them. john wayne replied that this is big, this is big for us. sean waved his scottish flag.

pranks

wayne said, "we've been i this loft for a few months now, and we're starting to go stir crazy a little bit. wayne pranked soren by putting the snooker balls and stick under his blanket on hid bed. when soren went to sit on it, he was amused to find them under his bed. he asked a smirking wayne if he knew anything bout it. between giggles, wayne sid no. in his inteview he said, "it's just our way of keeping amused, we don't have a tv we don't have newspapers. we're just going to play practicl joke on each other to keep entertained."



to keep the joke oing, soren decided to put the snooker balls and stick under jabbar's bed. he sad, " ijust wanted to keep the jke going, some got me and i just wanted to get somebody else." as jabbar wnet to sit on his bed, he felt something beneath him adn ws confused to find he snooker stick. he asked soren who put this on? zidov? soren laughed and sad probably. jabbar entered zidov's room and playfully smacked him on the bum with the stick. zidov awoke suddenly confused as to what was happening. jabbar asked why you put this on my bed? zidov was utterly confused and said, you crazy or what? jabbar asked then who put this. zidov said i don't know. and jabbar jokingly said i'm going to put this up your ass. he asked zidov one last time and zidov delcined his hand in putting it on jabbar's bed. when he returned to his room, he asked if soren was the one who put the stik on his bed and soren laughed out loud. and agreed. jabbar said, "i see first time that soren start to joke. h was all the time serious." when jabbar wnet to sit on his bed again, he realized that there was a ball under him. it was only then that he realized all the balls were on his bed as well. he said, "it's no problem for me. payback's a bitch."



zidov started a prank of his own. he stole yod's neon green and shoes and hid them somewhere else. zidov said, "aftera ahilw it s a competition of pranks, outside the ring we're like small kidsk." yod sai,d " i'm not happy. my shoes were gone. they were my favourtie shoes. they'd be stolen. i was annoyed." he asked jabbar, :did you see my shoes?" jabbar asked what shoes? and yod replied, my green shoes at that point zidov walked by looking innocent



in his interview zidov said, "i put yod's shoes somewhere, but i see yod's getting angry. i hope no body tell him. if he know i think he's going to kick my ass." quietly zidov returned yod's shoes to its original poisition and crept away hurriedly. he then went outside to tell yod that his shoes were right where he left them. he asked him, you crazy? yod said i dont see i dont see. yod asked who? and zidov said no no not me. yo said in his intrvew, i want to kick his ass. zido found a new target waye, and started creeping toward him and shock him however, they jut laughed it off. zidov siad, "it was fun you know. this i what we need, i'm the champion of pranks so of cause i want to have the last laugh." he then stuck a post it to sean's back that read, "sean the ex wright."

predictions during training

soren said, "i want to fight in the next elimination fight cause i feel ready to fight. i dont really want to find wayne cause he's an aussie. and i dont really want to fight zidov cause he's probably the weakest out of all four of us left in the second round. i was hoping i would fight jabbar, but it's up to the drawers now." zidov said, ' wayne when i see him training before i thought this guy is a machine not fro this planet. but i think his weakness is his condition right now because he was sick. it's going to help me if i have to fight him. so i train even harder and my high kick is my secret weapon right now." stephen said, "train harder, two of you might be fighting tonight." wayne, "i put in the hardest session in the gym, probably the hardest session since i've been back from being sick with chicken pox. i felt terrible after the first few sessions. i feel like i'm starting all over again. i pretty much thre up after the training session cause i exerted myself so much. i dont know how i was going to get into the semi finals." during training stephen called out to zidov, "the last six if you win you're the last four. " zdov said amazing. stephen then asked who was going to draw," zidov repeated, me wayne soren and jabbar." wayne told stpehen, i have a gut feeling it's going to be me and this boy 9(referring to zidov) next. zidov said in his interview, wayne Parr is one of the bigest names in Muay Thai. i want to fight him sooner or later you know. this was my dream when i come here not only to fight wayne but to beat him."



after training, jaymee entered the training. stephen said that they did well this morning, they trained hard. jaymee said, "i know that you've been so consumed by this competition and you probably haven't had the chne t see singapore, the island nation that you've been calling home. so if it's alright with stephen, you boys can spend the day with me. now i'll be taking you to the legendary chinatown where you'll be able to shop and take in the local culture so i think we'll have fun. wayne siad, "we've been here for so many weeks and i think it'll be cool to be able to see the singapore city." stephen said, "i mus admit boys i'm very jealous. so i'll see you when you have to pull the drawers and decide the fate of the next two fighters."

chinatown

the men walk through the popular lanes of chinatown, shopping and enjoying the time that they can be out of the loft. wayne is looking at a tube dress and zidov asked jokingly can you wear this tonight please. and pretends to put it on and said when i dance. they then look at the t shirt with all the laws in singapore. they wonder what it was about and seanexplained that it had some of the laws in singapore , for example no urinating in lifts. jaymee then places a chinese cap with a fake pigtail on yod's head and decides that she was going to get it for him. jaymee said that he had to wear it all day now. yod thanked her and was so happy he hugged and kissed jaymee of the cheeks. zidov said, "i really liked chinatown, it's a beautiful place, i really enjoyed it. i think i've been in the loft for so long that i've forgotten how to buy stuff. have some nice girls thee too, you know." since it was drizzling, zidov started walking under some girl's unbrella, she looked a him baffled by his actions though sean said, you're scaring the girl. zidov replied i don't think so. jabbar then walked into a sex shop. wayne walked to a shop and saw a cigar that he wanted to buy for zidov. he said, "as i saw it i knew i thought of zidov. i didnt have a present for anyone else except zidov. i just had this crazy feeling that we're going to get chosen to fight each other. it was out of my hands. after a day out in town in singapore, i'm ready for whatever happens next."

chinese drawers

stephen repeated how the chinese drawers worked. yod and sean were already in the semi finals and di ot have to pick next. jabbar picked an empty drawer. zidov picked the drawer with the blue amulet. soren went ahead and picked an empty drawer. "i drew nothing. right then i knew i was fighting jabbar next. i was happy that's who i wanted to fight." which meant that wayne was fihting zidov. he said, 'i had a dream i would be facing you." zidov repsonded that I have a dream too. wayne said, "we both had this premonititon and sure enough it was me and zidov, it was just crazy, the whole experience is just mind blowing. it's going to be a really exciting fight." stephen said this is it, wayne and zidov and next match jabbar versus soren. zidov said, "this is the fight of my life. my next opponent is going to be the biggest name is name in muay thai wayne Parr. i think he's beatable." wayne said that beofre he sent him back home he had a gift for him and gave him the cigar holder. zidov looked genuinely happy and said i'm going to remmebe you, whilst pointing at the cigar holder. zidov said, 'im really rally suprised, wayne give me a present. i wished i got him a present. i'm going to get him a presen with the money i get from this competiton.

before match

zidov was telling the boys that if someone had told him before he came into the competition that he was going to fight he would have said, "hey you crazy or what?" he said, "wayne is a legend you know. but it's not easy to fight me. i want to show zidov." at that moment, wayne entered after a run. soren asked him "why aren't you dong thta." zidov just shrugged. soren said, "he jst ran in a sweat suit... again!" soen said, "wayne trains really hard, he gets up and runs before verybody else. doing everything tht he can to gt better and up to his game. zidov i think has given up on training a little bit, t's a bit sad to see cause i think he could do alright. i think its 50-50 seeing as how wayne is sick." zidov told wayne, this time tomorrow night, you fly home man." he said that while eating a bowl of ice cream with whipped cream, hot fudge and coloured rice. wayne just laughed at him. he said, "zidov instead of fighting trying to rile me u. but i dont care. he eats a lot of junk, i dont understand how he hasnt gotten diabetes yet. he eats a lot of sugar and ice cream, yea that's going to be a big factor when he fights.

day of the fight

zidov puts some jasmine flowers, and fruits in front of buddha. he said he prayed o buddha to help him during the fight, to not ge injured to make him and his midn to trong. this is an important thing, muay thai has a lot to do with buddhissm and i respoect this religion a lot and in return i get the support. while they were sitting around in thedy, sean asked zidov what his strategy was zidov responded that his strategy was to survive the first two round caus ehe believed that wayne might tr to knock him out in the first few rounds. in the next rounds, he wlould get tired. he's going to have more pressure than me. then beat the shit out of him. sean said, "zidov's dvantages are that he's absolutely crackers. anything could happen and he hits hard, he's got a good amount of experience, he's a good fighter. he shouldn't be under stimated. wayne is just recenly back for the chicken pox, he's been unwell. zidov could very easily win there would be a huge upset. this should be interesting."



the men start joking about the match to coem. wayne jokes to the men that they should slide a pillow under zidov jus as he is falling onto the ground. he said, "dont want him huritng his head." zidov said that he needed it more since wayne was older than him. he continued to oke, "i feel bad to knock out an old man you know." wayne said, "the chicken pox really knocked me out. but i really trying to be positive. every night i dream about winning this competition. i've been pushing mysel for the last few days, so my confidene is sky high. at the same time, he's given back just as much. i am not intitmidated by zidov at all." zidov then said that he had a nickname or wayne, "old dirty bastard." the men laughed and wayne smiled along. zidov then explained, "wayne Parr when he fight with Rafik, he was really angry on Rafik and he not a good fighter. if make him a little bit angry, you kow." zidov told him i want to make you angry. soren said kick him in the balls. zidov said maybe you're right. left right kick in the nuts. left right jump knee in the nuts. jbbar sid, " wayne is old you know he's 31 years old. and he was sick. so he's not 100% now. not good stamin.a it's good for zidov. zidov is more hungry than wayne, that's why he can beat him!"

one hour to fight

wayne, "today's going to be my 91st, which i'm really excited about. not only am i representing myself, but i'm representing the whole of Australia. i'm going to fight amazing tonight, i'm aware of that. this competition means everything to me. i really want to excel i really want to get to the final. it's all i've been thinking of since entering the loft." "zidov has told me at least a hundred times that hehas wanted to fight me, i've got at least 10kg over him. i can hit him twic eas har. i'm just going to let zidov realize that he's got to be careful what you wish for." wayne said to himself as he put on his ankle guards, "sorry zidov but i' going to kill you man. as much as I like you, there's too much money at stake." he said, 'we both know what we're hee for, we're not here to be friends and be buddies. this is war. winning tonight and getting into the semis and geting into the finals is the biggestthing ever to happen in my career. this competition has the higest prize money every for a middleweight fighter. there's no way now i can lose." lets out a gorwl. "if i lose this giht, my reputation is pretty much dirt. i cant make mistakes, i've woked too hard, i've tarined too hard, i can't let everything go out of the window." stphen comes in and said, "its a little bit tough for you, quaranttend, hlf dead, back to life. wayne don't have to talk much. you're definitely the best in australia. you're a true champion, be strong 100%, the odds are with you. good luck" wayne said, "i've been building my name up for the last 10 years or so. hopefully doing well in this copeititon will bring my lgeacy up and put my name here for many generations to come.



his trainer told him, " you're going to shock the boing world, zidov. zidov said, "if you win the competiton you ge $150, 000. this money is going to change my life, i'm going to win the competition. my heart is here an my heart will win. all the enegry is going in my body and all my energy i going into the fight. wayne Parr is an idol for me, he is one of the biggest names in Mauy thai. for me it's just a dream become true. trainer tells zidov, " those fists in your gloves will make you champion." zidov said, "my strength is i'm crazy. i'm not scared to go into this fight because i've got nothing to lose. you can be king kong in front of me, i dont care. anything can happen in the ring. it's going to be the biggest experience ever in my life." my mind is strong enougt o beat wayne Parr. my body is also strong enough to beat wayne parr. i believe in myself. i believe i can beat everybody in this competition. warmed up with the trainer. stephen comes in and said, you're looking good, zido youv;e definitely made your mark. the contender would have not be the same without zidov from switzerland. you proved yourself to us already any times here. winning's gonna bring you all the way up. you know that ok? zidov this is the one." mongkok. be strong, 100% zidov said, " he's a little bit nervous, wyane. he has to win me. i'm just relaxed and nothing to lose." before he leaves, "i'm not the underdog i can beat everybody. land my right leg on his head and i can knock him out. i'm going to do it, zidov is going to win this fight!



the men cheer for him, they perform the wai khu, during which john wayne pretends t hit zidov on the head whne his head is turned, zidov pretends to stab wayne while wayne wipes off the preted blood from his abdomen.

round one

wayne throws in the first kick, block by zidv. zidov using the ounter tehnique that stephen tught him.zido immeditl tried his high kick but are blocked. punched zidov almost knocked him over, regained compusure. tried to kick wayne however wayne moves and he missed, wayne cheekily posed in happiness. reached foward for zidov and zidov moves back. managed to catch zidov's leg and put his spinning elbow onto zidov. zidov caught wayne's leg and punched him hard in the abdomen, wayne stumbled backward. zidov missed sevreal punches. slow moving but aybe effive in securing. punch the side of his abdomen. bell rang.



jabbar told him, pushed him away if you have to, you understad. good job. trainer, jab and right kick, dont be scared.

trainer, find your rhythim. no need to rush. you got this one.

round two

wayne kicked him, zidov's kics are blocked. wayn drives hm around the ring. wayne started to throw in a flurry of kicks nd punches, jumps and gives hima high kick on the head. zidov fights back bravely. managed to to corner wayne and punch him hard, however wayne gives hima harder one back, he crumbled to the gorund but gets back up. jaymee sayd, oMG. wayne flies and gives him a backward kick on the head, twirls backward a dtried to kick him again but blocked by zidov and wayne fell o the grond. gets fiercer, wyne's elbow to zidov's face. both start punching and lickcing. punchd and kick him hard on the face, zidov fell down and got up back immediately. bell rang and they hugged each other.



jabbar said, give all the power just for three minutes, that's all. he's tired already, understand. trainer said, one two right kick he elbow. i wnt discipline. be strong!

trainer to waye, throw those kicks hard. focus on the kicks. just kick him hard, no need to rush. this is like trining for you.

round 3

wayne got in immediately, doesnt give up attacked zidov with punches and finally kicks his face. zidov falls down. gets up resumes but is stunned by the impact, trying to defned himself, wayne attacked furiously falls uonto the ground again. got up yet again. strenght commedable. crowd cheering for zidov, wayne started the punches again and zidov was cowering himself against them. punches him several times in the head. zidov falls down fo the 3rd time in one minute. zidov got back up, powered through. wayne gave in his all, zidov did not bak down but was on defensive mood, falls down gets back up. wayne managed to put in oen extremely hard punch to zidov's head unable to get up knocked out. wayne as won. wayne rushed and to check if he was ok. zidov said im okay. wayne said good fiht, you put up one hell of a fight. well done man. " wayn raises his hands in triumph. wayne cried zidov and they hugged. winner by knockout, wayne Parr.



"now that im in the last four, there are only a few people stnding in my way of getting to the final. i want that more than anything. the fihgt itself wasn't that difficult, zdov was a tough customer, he kept getting u everytime i dropped him. he gained a lot of respect from me, i wish him all the best in the future."

with zidov trainer told him, "you fight with him, you okay." zidov said, I wish i could fight five round, but okay i did not lose first round." trainer said yea! everybody knows who you are know." zidov said, "i think i fight one hundred percent but he's strong you know. i can say i tried, i did my best and i cn go with head up." i'm in the top of this whle, and i'm really proud and i;m really happy. my family is going to be really happy, my mother is going to say this is my son. i learnt a lot, and the important thing i learnt that i can fight with the best of he world." goes into wayne's locker room, they hug. zidov said i tied. wayne sid you kept geting up, it was the best part." zidov said 'not easy t ifght wayne Parr you know, but i tried" wayen said, 'yeah you kow its cool, just sad to see you go." zidov said in interview, "im happy for wayne Parr you know, hopefully he would have a good next semi final fight." wayne said, "it's amazing, youve been like my brother here in this place." zidov said, "i'm proud of you, i can step with you in the ring. before coming here f you tell me to fight wayne Parr i would have said what you crazy? " wayne said, "from here you can only go up. both men are in tears. zidov siad, experience.' in his interview, "hhe show me he have a lot of respect from me. he make me proud and i have respect for him." he tells wayne i'm going to miss you.

packing up and leaving. "i wish the other fights good luck in this competiton. i wish jabbar yod sean wayne and soren the best." writes a note on his switzerland flag. i going to miss them all the same they're all grta guys. i think i showed them a big motuand b heart and this is the real zido, hung his flag over the ropes. shouts chok dee. he said the show must go on, i going to continue training, start running6am in the morning, kick pads even harder, people are going to hear abt me again i'm going to come back stronger than ever.
