Another Win For the Tiger KingsThe episode started of with Soren who looked rather pleased with himself after he knocked Alain out of the competition. He remarked, "I've got my first fight out of the way. I think the competition is going to get a lot tougher from now on. I’ve got to step it up, train harder and stay focused." In the Tiger King’s room, John Wayne said it was not even a close fight. Yodsaenklai added that he felt that Alain offered no kicks, punches or even knees in the fight. He then went on to make a comical movement of someone continually getting hit in the face. John Wayne said that the score now was three-two in their favor. “Yay!” he cheered. Soren then entered the room and the men cheered for him shouting out, "Arrebaaa!" Yodsaenklai and Zach said that Alain was no match for him at all and that Soren had displayed his full technique. Yodsaenklai said in his interview, "Soren punched and kicked strong. All the Tiger Kings are strong. There is no weak link."
With the defeated Wild BoarsThe men looked well and truly devastated by their third successive loss. The 5 remaining Wild Boars, Zidov, David, Naruepol, Sean and Karlsson were all frustrated at continuously coming in second best to the Tiger Kings. Zidov said, "I hate to lose but I try to put my head up and forget about the loss because everyday is a new day and you have to be one hundred percent ready and mentally fit for the next challenge and fight. I really feel ready in my head to fight. I will fight the next fight." David then told the men to go for it and to go out there and do their best for the upcoming challenge. He quipped, “We've given our best at every challenge so far and tomorrow we've just got to make sure it happens. We're the Wild Boars.” He then put his arms around the men and said again tried to drive them further by shouting out, “We're the wild boars.”
In the Training GymStephen had upped the training level yet again as he shouted, "if you don't master this you have to train harder.” Soren said, "Training has really picked up this week. Stephen is really cracking the whip, making us train harder. I think he really wants us to do well." Zidov added, "We are here now, just 11 people left. I have to push myself a little harder than Wayne, Naruepol or Yodsaenklai because they are all big, tall and more experienced than me. Stephen pushed me a little more especially." Stephen said, "Common Zidov, let's pump harder.” He then turned his attention to Pitu, "Common Pitu, my mother kicks harder than you and she's 70!" David said, "I watch some of the other fighter’s train, how they carry themselves, how they work on pads and how they do themselves technically because you're watching some people you may be fighting. Maybe I’ll fight Zach or Dzhabar. I see that happening, get myself through round one. Some challenges are coming up; they're really important because you're in the position to pick the fights. They’re coming up in the last part of the first round. Going into the next challenge we're focused as a team, we want to go out and get the next win. We're tired of losing.”
The Challenge at the Courts Megastore Jaymee explained the challenge, "Every morning the employers here at courts have to restock the shelves and today you will be getting a taste of that. One by one you will grab a box, put it onto the dolly, go back and tag your teammate who will then do the same and finally the dolly puller will then pull the dolly across the finish line.” Stephen then added a further twist to the challenge, "I will cue to rest of the team who will go and help unload all the boxes off the dolly. The first team to finish wins." Since the Tiger Kings had one extra member, they decided to let Soren sit the challenge out. Jaymee then reminded both teams that at stake was the right to pick the next fight which may serve to guarantee their stay in the Contender Asia.
Yodsaenklai and Zidov stepped up as the first runners and were neck and neck as they raced towards the two captain and dolly pullers. Zach got a small lead in front of Naruepol giving the Tiger Kings the edge. It then came down to John Wayne who started pulling the dolly first and David who sprinted way ahead of John Wayne by pulling on the dolly with just one hand. The Wild Boars started unloading the boxes first and were seen furiously unloading the boxes, desperate for the win. The Tiger Kings caught up at this stage and both teams were dead even, before the Tiger Kings, with momentum firmly on their side finally edged the Wild Boars by a mere half second. 4 challenge victories on the trot now, along with 4 successive rewards and the right to pick the week’s fight yet again. It just could not get any better for the Tiger Kings and any worst for the Wild Boars. John Wayne indicated 4-2 with his fingers pointing at the wild boars. Jaymee then added that the Tiger King’s reward was a shopping spree in the Courts Megastore. The wild boars were utterly disappointed with their latest defeat especially since they came excruciatingly close to winning it.
Enjoying their RewardThe men walked around the store with glee splat all over their faces. They were enjoying and testing out all the products that the Courts Megastore had to offer. Soren said that they walked into the Courts Megastore with a big shopping spree in front of us just as though they were kids in a candy store, spoilt for choice. Pitu then lied down on a sofa and said, “Please, two minutes to sleep.” Zach said, “What do I get, honestly I’m cracking my head here. Christmas has come early this year and I just don’t know what to do at this moment.” “Chuck some cash in your face and you say, ahh what do I do?" John Wayne explained. Yodsaenklai got himself a portable DVD player, while Soren bought DVD’s, Dzhabar bought himself a digital camera, Zach bought a camera for his family while John Wayne decided to get the Nintendo DS Lite while Pitu, out of all the things he could have chosen from got himself a fax machine.John Wayne added that with every reward that came their way, it only served to motivate them even harder to win more challenges and the rewards that came with every win.
The Dejected Wild BoarsDavid started off by saying "I’ve got to be honest with you guys. I was going to come back and blast you guys. I was going to scream and shout at you and say that you didn’t try hard enough but that isn’t going to help solve anything. So I’m just going to let myself cool down and say we gave a hundred percent. We're all here to fight." Zidov added, “Of course if you lose you get down and you see the other people can buy nice stuff. They're right, they win but this is f***ed up. The next challenge, we have to win and this makes me f***ing angry." David, in his interview said that every defeat they sustained had taken a bit out of them especially from him, being captain of the team. He further added that the challenge had drained their mental energy and strength. He explained that after they lost they felt with down and they were forced to zap themselves straight back up for training. He finally said that it had been very hard for the Wild Boars especially in the past few weeks as they kept watching the Tiger Kings come in with their rewards while all they could do was to sulk and watch.
Time for DeliberationJohn Wayne, as team Captain said that he felt that Dzhabar should fight David because David was really strong and was the sole threat that the Wild Boars posed to them winning the remaining challenges and rewards. He said, “I think if we want to keep winning rewards, we have to get David out of the competition." Dzhabar agreed and said, “Yes, I’m fit and I'm ready.” Pitu asked him if he was sure, and Dzhabar reiterated that he was here to fight. John Wayne then asked if there were any disapproval to the fight when Zach said, “it's for the team!” Dzhabar said, "I take David, he's not bad, he's fit but I think he’s not so hard. John Wayne said, “I think you should crush him.” The men then burst out into a fit of laughter before John Wayne continued and said that he thought that Dzhabar was a crazy mad man. Soren butted in and said, "Crazy Russian." Dzhabar said in his interview, "I’m 21 years old, youngest fighter in the house. David is 33. I feel confident and I’m faster than him. That's why they let me fight.” They cheered out "Lets go tigers." hoping to continue on their trend of knocking out the next Wild Boar captain. Judgment dayThe teams are summoned to the training area. Jaymee commented, ”Tiger Kings fourth week in a row. Who’s it going to be?” Immediately, Dzhabar stepped out and said he wanted to fight the newest captain of the Wild Boars. David stepped out to shake hands with Dzhabar, however before their hands could touch, he quickly moved it away. The men whistled at his cockiness. He then returned back to his position and shot cool looks at Dzhabar. Not pleased with his actions, Dzhabar ranted in his interview, "David showed me disrespect. Maybe he thinks he made joke but for me it’s not a joke. I was really angry at that point but I keep my anger for the fight." David explained in his interview, "If Dzhabar took offense to the handshake joke, its up to him we're just going to get it on. I’m driven to go out and fight and do well. I’m going to win."
Morning of the fightDzhabar woke up earlier than most of his teammates and started praying by his bed. He said, "I try to be a good Muslim. I pray for my father. He passed, I pray for him. In my life I’d say it’s number one place, religion." After which, he went to the mosque at Arab Street. Dzhabar shared, “Usually when I fight, the day of the fight I go to mosque and pray. When I pray to God, I feel strong. Religion helped me so much in the fight. Going to mosque give me power to fight."
David gave a peek into his own life and inspirations, "I’ve got a lot of loving people around me back home. Right now I miss them because they're not here with me. They can't share such an important experience with me. The most important person is my mom. Unfortunately she's not with us anymore. I know she's here with me making sure I’m alright." Tears welled up in his eyes and he spoke with his voice cracking, " She would be proud of me, of the men I’ve become and I’m just going to go out and do my best for my mom."
One Hour To The FightIn Dzhabar’s room he spoke, "Fight for me is war, it's really war. Fight is my life. I’m born to fight. Nobody can beat me. If you believe yourself you can beat everybody." Pitu and the trainer got him ready for his fight. " Father for me was the most important in the worst but he passed and he wanted me to be a good fighter. If I win, I give this victory to my father. I want to win this whole competition for my father, for my family." He started to warm up and punched some pads in preparation for his match. "My eye was on David from the beginning of this competition. He has no respect for anyone. It makes me so angry. I’m ready to fight David. It’s going to be a dirty fight" He entered the ring with the traditional Arab garb on his head.
While he prepped himself for the match, David said, " All I know is that my destiny has brought me here for a reason. I’m not here just to fight one fight and go home. I’m here to do well in this competition." The trainer inspired him, "Everything will be ok. You’ve trained in Bangkok and you've been training here everyday." David continued, "I want to go out and win the big money so that I can get married to my fiancé. There’s one person standing in my way, his name is Dzhabar." As he warmed up he confessed, "I’m not really feeling any pressure. I’m just going to go out and fight and show the world what I’ve got. I don’t get scared of fighting people. The real person you should be scared of is yourself. I have a lot of inner belief and I’m just going to go out and do the best I can. Cause that's David Pacquette. I’m going to do this fight for me and the Wild Boars. I’m going to get my hand up in the end."
And The Fight BeginsAs David performed the Wai Khru, Dzhabar prayed before the match. Tensions mounted the air as the two men, with equal determination to fight prepared for the match of their lives. Round 1They started hard and fierce, unlike the other matches in the competition. Almost immediately they started to kick each other hard. Dzhabar grabbed David’s legs and pushed him down and refused to let go of his legs until the referee pulled them apart. They continue to mostly kick at first in attempt to knock each other off their feet. The punches stared flying soon after. David put in combinations of kick, punch, kick, and punch. Finally Dzhabar managed to topple David again and fell on top of him.
David managed to deliver a hard kick right into Dzhabar’s face. However, in David’s dismay, Dzhabar toppled him again. They were stuck in a lock at the end of the match. It seemed that David had gotten the upper hand though it was extremely close. Sean told David, "Just chill, breathe. Tighten up your hands a wee bit." His trainer gave him some last minute tips, "knee and lock knee and lock. You’re leg's strong!"John Wayne told Dzhabar, “You have to use your combos man! You're doing really good. He’s only got this one bad leg kick. Once you stop that he's got nothing else. Round 2The round started as fiercely as the previous one. Both men were determined to knock the other out. Their punches were getting harder and they frequently got stuck in locks. David succeeded in toppling Dzhabar to the ground twice in a row. After several angry and hard punches, Dzhabar managed to thorw David onto the floor. At this point, both of their strategy was to topple the other over. Zach shouted from the stands, “Dzhabar! Guard up! The sounds from the punches and kicks were resonating in the arena. Zidov shouted, “One minute! One minute!” The men get more desperate to win the round. Dzhabar pushed David onto the rope and David took the opportunity to kick Dzhabar's face. There was cheering for both men from the crowd. At the end of the match, Sean told David, "Look at him, he's puffing! He's sitting in the corner his head is down he's fucking already." John Wayne said, “You’ve got to throw combinations. You’re trying to knock him out. Don’t knock him out. Try to get points. The knockout will happen, just let it come."
Round 3Immediately, the men punched each other and got stuck in a lock. In comparison to other rounds, they had slowed things down considerably. However, David used the opportunity to kick him hard on he face. In retaliation, Dzhabar delivered his elbow hard onto David’s head that cut him open. He started bleeding on the head and the referee called for a Time Out. David rested for a bit and until the doctor gave the clear to fight. He was not deterred by his cut and continued to kick and punch Dzhabar furiously.
Dzhabar pushed him onto the ground again and both men fall the ground after punching. Every hard blow was matched by the other trying to elbow. Finally, David matched him by elbowing Dzhabar hard on the head as well. Dzhabar started bleeding on his head. It was Time Out for Dzhabar for the doctor to check. The doctor gave the clear although both were a bloody mess. The injuries intensified their determination to win. Both were trying to use their elbows on the head. The bell rang and it seemed that this round had taken out the most from the fighter. “Good! Good! Good! Good Dzhabar!” John Wayne said. Zach reminded him that the match was very close. “One shot can win this fight! It’s your fight! “ Sean told David, " I know you're tired but you've just got to make ******* war.” Zidov said, “Don’t let him make the lucky shot. I want you to bring this fight home and you do."
Round 4The men were injured and yet high on determination for the round. Both were throwing punches and kicks but tred to block each other. More as time lapsed between the kicks and punches. Dzhabar punched and kicked D aid, both desperately trying to give in more than the other as the match was very even. In a show of his earlier statement, Dzhabar suddenly gave one dirty low blow to David’s groin. The referee gave a one-point deduction to Dzhabar. They started again and David delivered a hard blow to his head, in response to Dzhabar’s earlier move. Dzhabar started to get dirtier in his fighting. Yet again, Dzhabar threw onto the floor and then kicked him hard on head while he was still on the floor. He received another deduction and boos from the crowd. David looked at him in disgust and shook his head. He was reluctant to continue fighting due to his dirty attitude. The referee warned Dzhabar, “No more fouls!” At the end of the match Sean told David, " Look at his face he's got nothing! You don’t want to risk some stupid ******* 10 yr old winning!" Pitu said to Dzhabar, “You have to knock him.” “Three minutes, that's all you got!” John Wayne said.
Round 5Nerves were in the air as they were so evenly matched that the round. Anything could make or break it. They got into action immediately. They frantically punched and kicked in hoped of getting more points during the last round. In their desperate attempts to knock each other out, they frequently fell into a heap onto the ring. Their teammates shouted words of encouragement from the stands. Dzhabar tried to kick and missed. He got stuck in the rope and David took the opportunity to punch him several times. Both were obviously exhausted albeit they put in as much as they could. The bell finally rang as they were stuck in a lock. They walked away, without much show of sportsmanship between them.
All their teammates got into the ring and carried them. They had done a great job and it was hard to tell who had won. The crowd was cheering for both the men. David ran a lap around the ring for the audience through the Tiger Kings who did not seem amused. Before the winner was announced, David shook hands with Dzhabar. It was announced that the match was so close as the score was, “96-95.” Finally the winner was announced as in the red corner. Cheers and boos were heard from the audience as David looked around in disbelief. "It was really the hardest fight of my life, it was really close." Dzhabar said. “David gave me big war. It was not my best fight. Now I stay here and show people what I can do. Good luck to David in the future.”
Another Captain LostDavid looked completely disappointed. He shared, “When my hand didn’t go up and they gave it to the red corner, it hurts, I’m not going to lie to you, it really hurts. Cause I gave it my all. Hopefully, I’ll get respect, which is due to me all over the world. I just gave them a little taste of what I can do. To represent England and the big UK.” Teary eyed he added, “Today I know my mom's going to be proud of me.” He hung up him mongkok and said, “I can look myself in the mirror and say I gave my hundred percent.” He walked through the arena and kicked the bag and elbowed it. He walked out smiling. “When you fall down and then you get judged on how you pick yourself up. And I’m just going to pick myself up and go ahead. This is not the last time you're gong to see me.”
